The article has some great information about leading - including the following gem: “The people who turn out to be the best leaders are those who have previously been the best followers.”

I am not sure that I really agree much with this article. It appears that it when it talks of leadership and the way in which it is being presented it falls more in line with management. Obviously, a leader is not leading if he turns around and there are no followers. However, great leaders are generally not always great followers. Great leaders are always pushing those around them to go to the next level and addressing the pink elephants no matter what the cost. While great leaders understand those who are following them and asses their input and value to the team, if a decision is to be made it falls on the leader not the followers.

Just struggled with the article quite a bit.
